March 23
Dear family and friends,
Happy Easter! We hope you have a blessed day! Here's our update for March...
Basketball
Eric played the best game of the season this month against the number one team in the country, Falco.
He led his team to a huge win, scoring 28 points! It was a fun game to watch and his picture was put in
three different newspapers. I asked him how he felt after the game and he said, "I just had fun out
there! I played for the Lord and no one else." He has four games left this season; the last one is on
April 18th. His team must win the next four games to make the playoffs.
Last month, Eric's team went on a 'team bonding day' which we've found to be common in both
Romania and here in Hungary. There are lots of pictures on the website showing what they did and
explaining what happened in more detail. :) There are also pictures of a few of Eric's recent games,
including the big game against Falco. Be sure to check it out on our site found at
www.bjtphotography.com, and be sure to turn your sound up so we can greet you!
Teaching
I am still teaching English to several students 4 to 5 days a week. A few of my students have had
English exams over the last few weeks and have done very well! I'm very proud of them. :) My students
range in age from 3 to their mid twenties. I've made some wonderful friends here, as has Eric. It will be
hard for us to say goodbye when we leave for home.
A few of my new friends invited me to go with them to a Harlem Globetrotters game last month. It was
held in Budapest and we had a blast! All the details of the game are found on our website, along with
pictures. Click on "March", then "Globetrotters".
Springtime in Hungary
The weather has been unpredictable these last few weeks. Some days are sunny and warm while
others are rainy and quite cold. We like the sunny, warm days the best! Our daylight savings time will
go into effect in about a week or so, and that will make for longer days which will be nice. Before we
know it we'll be packing to head home, but first we'd really like to do a little traveling to Austria (where I
intend to pick edelweiss in the Alps...remember from the Sound of Music?), and perhaps Germany and
Italy, as well. We need to wait until we know more about the playoffs to make final plans.
We hope that you all have a very Happy Easter! Jesus is Risen!
Love and miss you all!
Eric and Kellie :) :)
